Persimmon Plc ("the Company") - Transfer of Shares held in Treasury

Persimmon Plc announces that on 20 June 2011 it transferred a total of 1,431 Ordinary Shares held in Treasury to participants in the Persimmon Plc Savings Related Share Option Scheme 1998 to satisfy the exercise of options at prices of £3.24, £3.26 and £4.00.  

Following this transfer the Company holds 1,396,149 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in Treasury and the Company's issued share capital is 301,195,282 Ordinary Shares (excluding Treasury Shares).
