Persimmon Plc ("the Company") - Transfer of Shares held in Treasury

Persimmon Plc announces that on 2 March 2012 it transferred 7,150 Ordinary Shares held in Treasury to a participant in the Persimmon Plc Executive Share Option Plan 1997 to satisfy the exercise of an option at £4.195. On the same day 2,778 Ordinary Shares held in Treasury were transferred to a participant in the Persimmon Plc Long Term Incentive Plan 2007 to satisfy the exercise of a nil cost option.

Following this transfer the Company holds 234,784 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in Treasury and the Company's issued share capital is 302,356,647 Ordinary Shares (excluding Treasury Shares).
