ISSUE OF EQUITY

On 3 June 2009 Personal Assets Trust plc issued 916 of its Ordinary shares of £12.50 held in Treasury and issued 1,109 Ordinary shares of £12.50 from its block listings at a price of £241.00 per share.  

The Company's issued share capital consists of 751,985 Ordinary shares, of which there are no longer any shares held in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of shares with voting rights in Personal Assets Trust plc is 751,985.

The above figure (751,985) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Personal Assets Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
