The board of Personal Assets Trust plc announces the number of shares issued
during April 2005 :-

*     These shares have been issued under the company's various block
listings.   The Company also bought back for cancellation 450 shares on 5

capitalisation of £152.2m, based on a closing mid-price of £224.75,
