PURCHASE OF OWN SECURITIES



On 26 January 2007 Personal Assets Trust plc bought 150 of its own Ordinary
Shares of £12.50 to be held in treasury at a price of £259.20 each.  There are
733,880 shares in issue and 17,031 shares held in treasury following this
transaction.
