                            DIRECTORS' SHAREHOLDINGS



Further to the announcement released on 20 April 2004 in relation to the
Company's Inland Revenue approved Company Share Option Plan ('CSOP'), Mr Robert
Pease has today purchased an additional 21,144 Ordinary Shares of 5p each at an
exercise price of 83p per share, and subsequently sold these shares in the
market at a price of 185p per share.



In addition, options over 9,346 Ordinary Shares of 5p each have today been
awarded to Mr Pease under the CSOP at an exercise price of 187.5p per share.
These options are exercisable within 7 years from 4 May 2007.
