                 Petards Group plc ('Petards' or 'the Company')

                                 Contract Award

Petards, the AIM listed developer of advanced surveillance systems, announces
that Petards Joyce-Loebl has been awarded contracts worth £2 million for the
supply of missile warning equipment and spares.  The missile warning equipment
is for use with the Royal Navy and Army Lynx Aircraft.  Deliveries are expected
to commence in the second half of 2006.
