SCREEN PLC ('the Company')
Screen plc became aware on 22 January 2001 that Joan Williams wife of Owen
Williams (Chairman), transferred 18,000,000 ordinary shares to her son Michael
Williams, a director of the Company, for no consideration on 31 March 2000.
As a result of the transfer:
* Joan Williams continues to retain an interest in 11,980,632 ordinary
shares of 0.1 pence each representing 3.16% of the Company's issued
ordinary share capital which is part of Owen Williams beneficial and
non-beneficial interest in 65,984,394 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence
each representing 17.42% of the Company's issued ordinary share
capital.
* Michael Williams is interested in 20,272,137 ordinary shares of 0.1
pence each representing 5.35% of the Company's issued ordinary share
capital.
