SCREEN PLC: US $ 1.12M CONTRACT GAIN
Screen Plc ('Screen'), a provider of advanced security and communication
systems announces that its subsidiary, Petards Mobile Intelligence Limited
('PMI'), has been awarded a US$1.12 million contract to supply its ProVida
2000 in-car video system to the Turkish Police, in conjunction with the
US-based company, Applied Concepts Inc. (Stalker Radar Systems).
It is the first major contract gain to be secured in Turkey for this product
by PMI.
The initial award may lead to further contracts for the system and provides a
platform for the sales of mobile data systems and other Screen related
products.
Commenting, Richard Hill, Business Development Director of Screen said:
'This is a further example of a successful contract win in one of the 38
countries in which we have customers and where we have unique product
approval. The contract paves the way to bid for the supply of the Petards
Mobile Data system to the Turkish Police.'
The ProVida in-car video system is in use by all of the UK Police forces and
in 38 other countries. ProVida was acquired from JAI A/S of Denmark in
September.
