Existing Notes Redemption
Petra Diamonds Limited announces that the Financing Condition (as defined below) with respect to the proposed redemption of the US$300 million 8.25% senior secured second lien notes due 2020 issued by Petra Diamonds US$ Treasury Plc (the "Existing Notes") will be satisfied and the Existing Notes will be redeemed today.
On 30 March 2017, Petra Diamonds US$ Treasury Plc, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, gave notice to holders of the Existing Notes that, subject to the consummation of its offering of the new US$650 million 7.25% senior secured second lien notes ("New Notes"), it would redeem all of the outstanding Existing Notes at a redemption price of 100% of the principal amount, plus the applicable premium and accrued and unpaid interest (the "Financing Condition"). As announced on 6 April 2017, the offering of the New Notes is expected to settle today and as such the Financing Condition will be satisfied.
