PETRA DIAMONDS LIMITED (THE 'COMPANY')


Petra Diamonds Limited announces that it has issued on 4 July 2001 161,420
ordinary shares to RTG Nominees AG in respect of debt of £80,710 due to
Fluxman Rabinowitz.

It is expected that the shares will be admitted to trading on AiM on 10 July
2001.
