                               Issue of equity

                  Petra Diamond Limited (or ' the Company')

Application has been made for the admission to trading on AIM of 1,687,304
Ordinary Shares of 10 pence each in the Company. 1,280,000 Ordinary Shares
have been issued in connection with a placing at 50 pence and the balance
issued while the company was suspended.

Trading in these shares is due to commence on Thursday 14 June 2001.
