PETROFAC AWARDED ONSHORE EPC CONTRACT IN ABU DHABI
Petrofac is pleased to announce that Petrofac Emirates, its joint venture with Mubadala Petroleum, has been awarded an onshore engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) for the development of the Bab Habshan-1 project. The contract was awarded following a competitive tender and is valued at US$187 million.
The project has an anticipated duration of 20 months and includes the provision of water injection clusters, oil production wells, water injection wells, associated electrical and instrumentation facilities, pipelines (headers and flow lines), overhead power transmission lines and modifications at remote degassing stations.
Subramanian Sarma, Managing Director of Petrofac's Onshore Engineering & Construction business, commented: "This project builds on the work that we are engaged in for ADCO on the large Asab development, and further deepens our relationship with an important customer. The award follows a competitive tender process and underlines the ongoing strength of Petrofac's competitive position in the Middle East."
