Transaction in Own Shares
Calgary, AB and Houston, TX - October 01, 2024 - PetroTal Corp. ("PetroTal" or the "Company") (TSX: TAL, AIM: PTAL and OTCQX: PTALF), announces that, in accordance with the terms of its share buyback programme announced on 23 May 2024, it has purchased the following number of common shares of no par value each in the capital of the Company ("Common Shares") through Stifel Nicolaus Europe Limited ("Stifel"). The repurchased shares will be cancelled.

Following the cancellation of the repurchased shares, the Company will have no Common Shares in treasury and 913,259,030 Common Shares (excluding treasury shares) of no par value each in issue. Therefore, the total voting rights in the Company will be 913,259,030.
The figure of 913,259,030 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
In accordance with Article 5(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 (the Market Abuse Regulation) as in force in the UK by virtue of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, the table below contains detailed information of the individual trades made by Stifel as part of the buyback programme.
