Awards under the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan

SOCO announces that Awards under the SOCO International plc Long Term Incentive 
Plan were made on 19 December 2003 to Mr Ed Story, Mr Roger Cagle and 
Mrs Cynthia Cagle of 121,100, 84,800 and 62,900 ordinary shares of £0.20 each, 
respectively.  Up to 100% of these awards will be exercisable from 19 December 
2006 provided certain performance conditions are met.  At the date of the 
award the market price of the ordinary shares was £2.765.
