HOLDING IN THE COMPANY
The Company today received the following notification from the Trustees of the
SOCO Employee Benefit Trust:
'We have become aware that on 20 November 2006, 898,300 ordinary shares (1.23%
of SOCO's ordinary share capital) that we had lent were returned to us.
Accordingly on that date we ceased to be interested in those shares under
section 208(5) of the Companies Act 1985 and became the beneficial holder of
such shares. The registered holder of these shares is SNC Nominees Ltd.
Accordingly, as at 20 November 2006, we were interested in 1,375,000 ordinary

of the Act and the 898,300 ordinary shares referred to above as the beneficial
holder of such shares.
In summary, we continue to be interested in 2,273,300 ordinary shares (3.12% of
the issued ordinary share capital) but our interest is now split as above under
section 208(5) of the Act and as the beneficial holder of such ordinary shares.'
