Acquisition
Pendragon PLC ('Pendragon'), the UK's largest car dealership, today announces
the acquisition of two leading Jaguar businesses in Munich, Germany for a
total consideration of approximately DM 7.5 million in cash. The businesses
are being bought from the Auto-Konig Group, a well established luxury motor
car dealer in Bavaria. The acquisition further strengthens Pendragon's
presence with Jaguar in Germany.
The dealerships are among the top 3 Jaguar dealership groupings in Germany and
are based in central Munich and Anzing in the North East of Munich.
Following the acquisition, Pendragon will add Aston Martin sales to the
existing Jaguar offering in the central Munich location. The local management
will be staying with the businesses following completion of the transaction.
Trevor Finn, Chief Executive of Pendragon, commented:
'These businesses complement our existing Jaguar operations in Germany and
their acquisition reflects our strong world-wide operating relationship with
Jaguar. In Germany we are already the largest Jaguar dealer through our four
dealership locations in Frankfurt and Wiesbaden. With this acquisition we are
adding the Jaguar territory for the whole of Munich and a portion of south
Bavaria.'
