Pittards plc announces that application has today been made to the UK Listing
Authority and the London Stock Exchange plc for the listing of 6,695 new
ordinary 25 pence shares to be admitted to the Official List pursuant to the
exercise of options.  Dealings in these shares are expected to commence on 2
September 2002.
