Pittards plc announces that they were notified yesterday (29 September 2005) by
the trustees of the Pittards Employee Share Ownership Trust that it had
transferred to certain directors, ordinary shares in the Company held by the
scheme for the benefit of those directors. Immediately thereafter, the
beneficiaries sold some of those ordinary shares to settle tax due as a result
of the transfer. The directors and their vestings and disposals are noted below.
