Pittards plc announces that the Pittards Employee Share Ownership Trust
purchased 24,800 shares in the Company at a price of 61 pence per share on 26
March 2002. The Pittards Employee Share Ownership Trust is now interested in
997,887 shares in the Company, representing approximately 4.58 per cent. of the
issued share capital.
The main potential beneficiaries in the Trust are executives of the Company
awarded shares under a restricted share plan and long term incentive plan and
include J W W Pittard, J H Buckley, R H Hankey and S R Johnson and R Paisley,
who are directors of the Company.
