PITTARDS ANNOUNCEMENT
Pittards plc, producers of technically advanced leather for many of the world's
leading brands of gloves, shoes, luxury leathergoods and sports equipment,(the
Company) is pleased to announce the appointment of Reg Hankey, who has been with
the Company for 15 years, as Chief Executive of the Company today, 19 July 2006.
In this position all functional roles will report to him, and Reg will continue
to report to Stephen Boyd, the executive chairman of Pittards.
This will bring together the various parts of the Company as Pittards
consolidates its UK manufacturing into Yeovil, and will allow Stephen to spend
more time on the Company's strategic direction.
The Company also wishes to announce that David Tebbs (non-executive director)
will retire from the board following the Company's AGM on Friday 21July, after
many years of very committed service. David will be replaced as non-executive
director by Lars Gustav Fex, who is managing director of Forvaltnings AB
Browallia and the directorial nominee of Peter Gyllenhammar.
