Letter to Company Announcements Office (dated 27th March 2000)
PURCHASE OF OWN EQUITY SHARES : NOTIFICATION OF PROPOSAL TO PURCHASE
Please accept this letter, pursuant to paragraph 15.3 of the Listing Rules, as
notification that the board of directors of Pittards plc ('the Company') has
taken the decision to submit to shareholders a proposal for the Company to be
authorised to purchase its own equity shares.
The authority sought is a general authorisation to make purchases.
Six copies of the circular in connection with the above proposal will be lodged
with the Company Announcements Office in accordance with paragraph 14.4 of the
Listing Rules. It is anticipated that the circular will be despatched to
shareholders within the next week.
