Plant Health Care® (AIM: PHC.L), a leading provider of novel patent-protected biological products to global agriculture markets, is pleased to announce its shares will be traded on the US OTC market.
Highlights
- Plant Health Care shares will trade on the US OTCQB Venture Market under the ticker "PLHCF", with effect from 3 August, 2021
- The OTCQB listing will make it easier for US investors to transact in Plant Health Care stock
- The Company plans to increase its investor relations effort in North America, with a view to increasing visibility to investors, further broadening the shareholder base and improving liquidity
Trading on the US OTC market will have no impact on existing PHC ordinary shares admitted to trading on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange and no new ordinary shares were issued as part of the OTC listing. The Group will continue to rely on the announcements and disclosures it makes to the London Stock Exchange and has no Sarbanes-Oxley or SEC reporting requirements.
The cross-trading facility is provided through OTC Markets Group Inc., located in New York. OTC Markets
operates the world's largest electronic interdealer quotation system for US broker dealers and offers multiple media channels to increase the visibility of OTC-listed companies. Independent studies show that
trading on the OTC by an international company offers a positive effect on the liquidity of its shares.
Chris Richards, CEO of Plant Health Care, commented: "The USA represents the single largest opportunity for Plant Health Care products. Sales of Harpin α in the corn and specialty crop (fruit and vegetable) markets in the USA are growing rapidly. The USA is also a major target market for the Company's PREtec technology ('Vaccines for Plants'); US registrations for the new PREtec biopesticides, PHC279 and PHC949, are anticipated in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
In addition, as a US-headquartered company, the USA is a natural place for us to seek new investors. The OTCQB listing will make it significantly easier for US investors to transact in Plant Health Care stock. The Company plans to increase its investor relations effort in North America, with a view to increasing visibility to investors, further broadening the shareholder base and improving liquidity."
Jonathan Dickson, VP of International Corporate Services at OTC Markets, said: "We are delighted to welcome Plant Health Care to the OTCQB Venture Market. With its primary listing remaining on London's AIM, the OTCQB Market's cross-trading facility will allow Plant Health Care to broaden its horizons and provide investors in the United States with the ability to access the Company's Ordinary Shares in U.S. dollars and during U.S. market hours."
