Plant Health Care plc
("Plant Health Care" or "the Company")
Directorate Change
Plant Health Care, a leading provider of naturally-derived products to the agriculture industry, announces that Dr. Dominik Koechlin has decided, for personal reasons, to retire from his position as Chairman and as a director with immediate effect. The Company has started a process to identify a suitable candidate to replace Dr Koechlin.
In the meantime, Sam Wauchope, the Company's Senior Independent Director, will take over as Interim Chairman. Mr Wauchope, who joined Plant Health Care as a non-executive Director in 2004, is a chartered accountant who has been CEO or executive Chairman of a number of UK-listed companies, including Acorn Computer Group plc, Oceonics Group plc and Ultrasis plc.
Sam Wauchope said: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dominik for his guidance and counsel over the past three years. He leaves the company with strong technology and product capabilities and with a sound platform to generate revenue and shareholder returns.
"I look forward to assisting the Company in achieving its commercial goals in my role as Interim Chairman and to engaging with shareholders while we recruit a Chairman."
As a result of Dr. Koechlin's retirement, Resolution 3 regarding his re-election as a director will be withdrawn from the business to be considered at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 19th April 2012.
