FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 20th January 2006
Plexus Holdings plc
(Plexus or 'the Company')
Tender Win
Plexus Holdings plc, the owner of the proprietary POS-GRIPTM method of wellhead
engineering, is pleased to announce that it has won its first major tender in
Egypt to supply wellhead equipment on a rental basis to BP Egypt for a High
Pressure/High Temperature (HP/HT) exploration drilling programme which is due to
commence October 2006. The tender is subject to completion of relevant contract
terms, and is estimated to generate sales in excess of £750,000 starting October
2006 for completion within 12 months.
The use of POS-GRIPTM technology on rental wellheads offers an excellent
opportunity for Plexus to introduce its revolutionary method of wellhead
engineering into the region where the emphasis in the future is expected to be
on high-pressure applications, not only for rental exploration wellheads but in
due course for production wellheads. This market breakthrough and the selection
of POSGRIPTM technology is anticipated by the Directors to encourage a number of
other operators to follow BP's lead.
In anticipation of the growth prospects in the region Plexus is in the process
of establishing a sales and marketing presence in Cairo to operate alongside
it's local representative. By allocating resource directly to the local market
in this way, Plexus will be able to interact more effectively with the local
operating companies and management believe that a combination of a competent
performance of this project and having a local presence will generate further
sales opportunities in the future.
Plexus' CEO, Ben van Bilderbeek, commented:
'I am delighted with this new opportunity for our POS-GRIP rental wellheads in
Egypt which we estimate will generate in excess of £750,000 of sales from
October 2006. Plexus has plans to expand its reach into new markets and the high
pressure/high temperature drilling prospects developing offshore Egypt are an
ideal target for our unique technology. I expect this early contract with BP to
act as a catalyst for additional business in Egypt and the Middle East in
general and we look forward to executing this challenging assignment.'

Notes to Editors
The Plexus Group is an established oil and gas engineering, and service business
based in Aberdeen, with an office in London and a presence in Houston, Texas
through PDT. The Plexus Group has developed and patented a method of engineering
for oil and gas field wellheads and connectors, named POS GRIPTM, which involves
deforming one tubular member against another to effect gripping and sealing.
Plexus was admitted to trading on AIM in December 2005 when it raised
approximately £10m of new funds for the Company.
POS-GRIPTM wellhead systems have been used in more than 60 oil and gas wells to
date by international customers and end users including, ConocoPhillips, BHP
Billiton, Talisman Energy, Tullow Oil, Global Santa Fe, Gaz de France and
Wintershall. In February 2004, BP contracted to purchase POS-GRIPTM gas platform
production wellhead systems for the US$4.1 billion Shah Deniz development, one
of the major gas fields in the Caspian Sea. Between 2005 and the end of 2008,
the Directors estimate that this relationship has and will generate revenues in
excess of £6.5 million for the Group.
The Directors believe that the raising of the Company's corporate profile
following its recent Admission to AIM in December will accelerate the roll out
of POS-GRIPTM technology as a superior alternative to current wellhead
technology, and which has particular advantages in High Pressure/High
temperature (HP/HT) oil and gas environments for which there is increasing
demand throughout the world. The Company's long term goal is to develop
POS-GRIPTM technology as the future industry standard for wellhead design. This
objective includes the distribution of POS-GRIPTM technology through licensees
to maximise market penetration. The Directors believe that the Plexus Group
can over time become a member of the 'first tier' of global wellhead systems
suppliers.
