The Company announces the allotment of 2,000,000 ordinary shares of 5p each fully paid issued for cash under the Placing Programme at a price of 103.675p per share. The new shares will rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares of the Company.

Application is being made for these new shares to be admitted to the premium segment of the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stocl Exchange's main market for Listed Securities, with an expected admission date of 26^th September 2013. Following this, the number of ordinary shares in issue will be 159,300,000.

The above figure of 159,300,000 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Polar Capital Global Financials Trust plc under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
