POLAR CAPITAL GLOBAL HEALTHCARE GROWTH AND INCOME TRUST PLC ("the Company")

ISSUE OF EQUITY

24 April 2013                                                     

The Company announces the allotment of 4,800,000 ordinary shares of 25p each fully paid issued for cash at a price of 148.5p per share. The new shares rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares of the Company.  

Application is now being made for these new shares to be admitted to the premium segment of the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's main market for Listed Securities. Following this, the number of ordinary shares in issue will be 104,850,000.

The above figure of 104,850,000 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Polar Capital Global Healthcare Growth and Income Trust plc under the Financial Conduct Authorities's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
