Polar Capital Holdings plc (the 'Company') received notification on 12 February
2007 that Artemis Investment Management Limited has a notifiable interest of
2,660,000 ordinary shares of 2.5 pence each, being 4.2 per cent of the issued
ordinary share capital of the Company.


In relation to the above holding, Artemis Alpha Trust beneficially holds 914,750
ordinary shares, being 1.44 per cent, BAE system Pension CIF beneficially holds
105,000 ordinary shares, being 0.17 per cent, BAE System 2000 beneficially holds
215,250 ordinary shares, being 0.34 per cent and Institutional UK Growth
beneficially hold 1,425,000 ordinary shares being 2.25 per cent of the current
issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
