Market Purchase of Company's Own Shares

Notification is given that pursuant to the authority granted at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held on 31 July 2008 to make market purchases of the Company's own shares, market purchases of 65,000 ordinary shares of 25p each in the capital of the Company was made on 15th  January 2009 at a price of 134.25p per share.  

These shares will be cancelled

The issued share capital of the company following this purchase and cancellation and the figure to be used as the denominator for calculations of interests in the company's voting rights is 128,693,914 shares.
