Directors' Shareholdings

The Company announces that L. F. Bryan (Chief Executive) has today exercised 22, 856 options issued pursuant to The Portmeirion 2002 Share Option Scheme.  These options were granted with an exercise price of 345 pence per Ordinary share of 5p each in the Company ("Ordinary Share") on 4 April 2007.  The total exercise price paid was £78,853.20.

The Company has accordingly transferred 22,856 shares to L. F. Bryan from a number of shares held in treasury by the Company.  The total number of Ordinary Shares now held by the Company in treasury is 610,218.  The Company has 10,563,030 Ordinary Shares in issue and 9,952,812 Ordinary Shares with voting rights following this notification.

After this transaction, L. F. Bryan is the beneficial holder of 202,000 Ordinary Shares (representing approximately 2.03% of the voting rights in the issued ordinary share capital of the Company).  He now holds options over 235,144 Ordinary Shares.
