                             Listing Application


Application has been made for 28,475 ordinary shares of 2p each in the Company
('Ordinary Shares') to be admitted to the Official List. The Ordinary Shares
are being issued pursuant to the exercise of options by 2 employees and one
former employee of the Company. 18,475 Ordinary Shares are being exercised at
127.48p pursuant to the exercise of options under the Company's Share Option
Scheme 1986 and 10,000 Ordinary Shares are being exercised at 299p pursuant to
the 1997 share option scheme. Admission is expected to become effective on 1
February 2001.
