                          Porvair plc (the 'Company')
                               Additional Listing

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for 76,575 ordinary shares of 2p each in the Company ('Ordinary
Shares') to be admitted to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock
Exchange's main market for listed securities ('Admission').

The new Ordinary Shares are being issued pursuant to the exercise of options by
a former director under the Company's 1997 unapproved share option scheme.
Admission is expected to become effective on Wednesday, 16 February 2006.
