Zulu Update

Premier African Minerals Ltd ("Premier" or the "Company"), is pleased to provide this update on progress at Premier's Zulu Lithium and Tantalum ("Zulu") project in Zimbabwe where drilling has commenced with 1,000 meters completed.

Highlights:

  • Two rigs drilling to date have been focused on step out zones intended to increase the Mineral Resource estimate
  • Six Diamond holes completed to date with planned 20,000 meters of diamond core drilling including sample collection for test work
  • Good intersections of visible spodumene mineralisation encountered. Best intersections of 20.68 meters in ZDD52 including continuous intersection of 12.1 meters at depth of *47.35m to *59.45m
  • Location of mineralised intersections in completed boreholes indicate continuity within the step out zone and subject to assay results may increase the overall resource estimate at Zulu Lithium
  • One rig will be dedicated from September to larger diameter core recovery for metallurgical, mineralogical, and geotechnical test work
  • Third rig expected on site October 2021
  • First assay results expected September 2021

George Roach, CEO commented ," I am pleased with the progress to date both at Zulu and in the Exclusive Prospecting Order ("EPO") extended area of over 200 square kilometres. As much as I have expectations for this EPO and results from resource drilling, our focus must be fixed on the Definitive Feasibility Study ("DFS") requirements.

Our priority at this time is metallurgical test work to guide the design of the plant that will have to be built to produce the concentrates we plan to sell. Quite large samples are required and these need to be recovered from within the known resource. This test work will in all likelihood be undertaken in Europe and the quicker we collate the sample material and get it shipped, the more likely we are to maintain our timelines to DFS".

Zulu EPO Work Programme:

Work on the EPO to date has included collation of historic data, initial surface mapping and inspection, and is progressing with ground based geophysical data gathering and compilation of a detailed remote sensing study, including hyperspectral imaging to identify possible spectral features of pegmatite intrusions and to discriminate the Li-bearing pegmatites from the host rocks. This approach has the potential to generate additional exploration targets over the almost 200 square kilometre EPO. An overview of the EPO can be viewed on Premier webpage on the below:

The Company believes that the Deep Purple Pegmatite in the overview of the EPO should be of particular interest due to its relationship to the main Zulu ore bodies which are only 8 kilometres away. Historically, this has been associated with abundantly occurring deeply purple coloured lepidolite but has also been worked for spodumene and is reportedly a source for pollucite.

Glossary of Technical Terms:

"Li"

Lithium.

"lepidolite"

is the mineral name for lithium bearing mica KLi2Al (Si4O10)(F,OH)2 an important ore of lithium.

"pegmatite"

is an exceptionally coarse-grained igneous rock, with interlocking crystals, usually found as irregular dikes, lenses, or veins, esp. at the margins of granitic intrusions.

"pollucite"

a colourless transparent mineral (Cs,Na)2Al2Si4O12.H2O of the zeolite family consisting of hydrous caesium aluminum silicate and occurring massive or crystallizing in cubes.

"Mineral resource"

A 'Mineral Resource' is a concentration or occurrence of solid material of economic interest in or on the Earth's crust in such form, grade or quality and quantity that there are reasonable prospects for eventual economic extraction. The location, quantity, grade, continuity, and other geological characteristics of a Mineral Resource are known, estimated, or interpreted from specific geological evidence and knowledge, including sampling.

"Spodumene"

is a pyroxene mineral that is typically found in lithium-rich pegmatites. It is usually associated with other lithium minerals such as lepidolite, eucryptite, and petalite. Spodumene has a chemical composition of LiAlSi2O6 but small amounts of sodium sometimes substitute for lithium. Spodumene is an important ore of lithium.
