Premier Foods plc ('the Company')
Premier Foods, a leading supplier of ambient grocery products in the UK, today
announces the resignation of Lyndon Lea and George Sewell as non-executive
directors from the board with effect from the Company's Annual General Meeting
on May 26th 2005.
In light of Hicks Muse Tate & Furst's (HMTF) disposal of their remaining stake
in the Company, both Lyndon Lea and George Sewell have decided not to stand for
re-election at the forthcoming AGM.
David Kappler, Chairman of Premier Foods, said,
'Both Lyndon and George have been valuable members of the board and have made
significant contributions to the development of Premier Foods. We wish them
well in the future.'
