NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS AND PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL
RESPONSIBILITIES

We wish to notify the following, in accordance with Rules 3.1.4(1)(a) and 3.1.4
(1)(b) of the Disclosure Rules.

The Company was today informed that on 8 September 2006 the directors referred
to in the table below took up rights to acquire ordinary shares of 1 pence each
in the Company ('Shares') at a price of 185 pence per Share under the terms of
the rights issue announced on 14 August 2006.

Following the take up of rights, the total number of Shares held by the
directors concerned (excluding Shares under option) is set out in column (3) of
the table below.
