Disclosure of Interest in Share Capital

On 4 November 2004 the Company received notification by Axa Investment Managers 
UK Limited of 7 Newgate Street, London, EC1A 7NX that, as at, 3 November 2004 
AXA S.A., 25 Avenue Matignon, 75008 Paris and its Group Companies were 
interested in 24,802,931 ord GBP 0.01 shares. These shares are represented by 
a beneficial interest of 19,166,611 shares (representing 7.83% of the issued 
share capital) and a non-beneficial interest of 5,636,320 shares 
(representing 2.30% of the issued share capital). This notification of 
change is due to an increase in the beneficial interest holding from 
9.92% to 10.13%. The shares were held as follows:
