Update on Health & Safety Executive Investigation
Pressure Technologies (AIM: PRES), the specialist engineering group, today provides an update on the Health & Safety Executive ("HSE") investigation following the fatal accident at Chesterfield Special Cylinders ("CSC") in June 2015.
Following the conclusion of their investigation, the HSE has now advised the Company that it intends to prosecute CSC in relation to the accident and that a preliminary court hearing has been set for 6 March 2019. It is not possible to determine what the outcome of this court hearing will be and, given the nature of the sentencing guidelines, nor is it possible to determine with any certainty what, if any, financial penalties might be levied on CSC.
The Company continues to take legal advice on this matter and will provide further updates.
