Not Guilty Plea Submitted to a Charge Brought by the Health & Safety Executive
Pressure Technologies (AIM: PRES), the specialist engineering group, provides an update in relation to the intended prosecution by the Health & Safety Executive ("HSE") following the fatal accident at its subsidiary Chesterfield Special Cylinders ("CSC") in June 2015.
During the preliminary hearing held today at Sheffield Magistrates Court, Chesterfield Special Cylinders submitted a plea of not guilty to a charge brought by HSE pursuant to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The Company emphatically denies the charge brought by HSE and will deliver a strong defence.
The case was referred to Sheffield Crown Court and will be listed for trial in due course.
The Company continues to take legal advice on this matter and will provide further updates in due course.
