Annual General Meeting Statement
CSS Stellar plc, the global entertainment and sports management and marketing
group, held its Annual General Meeting at 9.30am today at which time Sean Kelly,
Group Chief Executive, updated shareholders on current trading.
'Overall trading across the Group in the first four months of the year was
in-line with the Board's expectations. The Marketing and Events divisions
performed slightly ahead of target with the Talent Management and Television
divisions performing broadly in-line. All four divisions had notable success
within the period.
Talent Management added to its extensive client list while a number of existing
clients achieved further success. The division also negotiated the highly
publicised deal bringing Michael Parkinson's chat show to ITV and is involved in
negotiating commercial contracts for Sir Bobby Robson.
The Marketing division negotiated a major sponsorship deal between American
Express and Clear Channel Concerts and expanded its sampling programme for
Starbucks in North America.
The Television division was appointed official distributor of 'I Dream', Simon
Fuller's new drama series, and, in Asia, renewed the television deal with Fox
Sports Australia for the World Snooker Association.
Events secured a three year deal with The National Trust to present The National
Trust Summer Music Festival. In addition, it will also be producing and
installing the branding for the UEFA Euro 2004 Tournament.
The Group continues to work on an extensive list of projects whilst continuing
to reduce its cost base. With a number of economic indicators seeming to justify
the view that conditions in our chosen markets will continue to improve, we are
positive about the future of the Group.'
