Follow-Up Order from DB Bahnbau Gruppe

Proton Motor Power Systems plc (AIM: PPS), the designer, developer and producer of fuel cells and fuel cell electric hybrid systems with a zero-carbon footprint, is pleased to announce a further follow-up order, for a complete hydrogen fuel cell emergency power system, from DB Bahnbau Gruppe (the "Customer"), a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG, Germany's leading full-service provider for rail infrastructure.

This follow-up order represents the second fuel cell emergency power system, under the Customer's brand name EnerRail H024, with rated power output of 24 kW. The order represents the same delivery scope as the previous follow up order, announced on 13 July 2023, and delivered to the Customer on 16 May 2024. This also represents the 25th system ordered by the customer since the signing of the cooperation agreement between Proton Motor and DB Bahnbau Gruppe in 2015.

This newly ordered system will be integrated into the same railway control centre as the system that was handed over on the 16 May 2024 in the greater Berlin area. Both Systems can be operated independently of each other for a total rated power output of 48 kW.

Dr. Faiz Nahab, CEO of Proton Motor, said:

"This follow-up order from DB Bahnbau Gruppe further proves the quality of Proton Motors' systems and its customer support and orientation. The order comes shortly after receiving serial and operational approval, a successful site acceptance test and hand over to our long-standing customer, DB Bahnbau Gruppe. We are pleased that, with this new order, we are further strengthening our cooperation with DB Bahnbau Gruppe and we look forward to continuing to support Deutsche Bahn on its net-zero-transformation with our zero-emission fuel cell generator solutions."
