Analyst Visit to Asia
Prudential plc is hosting a four-day visit to Hong Kong and Singapore,
commencing on Tuesday 14th November, for a group of institutional and broking
analysts.
Prudential is one of the largest retail insurers in Asia with operations in 11
countries: Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia,
Vietnam, India, China, Taiwan, and Japan.
Its operations in Asia are an important contributor to the success of
sustainable profitable growth by the Group as a whole. The briefings for
analysts, which will be given by senior operational management and invited
guest speakers, are intended to develop a better appreciation of the strategic
rationale and potential of Prudential's investments in Asia and will focus on
these main themes:-
- Economic and political trends and issues affecting the Asian region;
- An update on Prudential Asia's growth in recent years and the drivers behind
that growth;
- An overview of Prudential Asia's operations, and business and financial
performance to date; and
- An overview of future strategy and expansion plans.
There will be no discussions about current trading or future financial
performance.
Slides of the presentations will be posted onto the Investors page on
Prudential's corporate website (www.prudential.co.uk) on Friday 17 November.
