With reference to the announcement made to the Stock Exchange on 21 February
2001 by Prudential plc regarding the appointment of Mr Mark Wood as an
executive director of the Company with effect from 21 June 2001, pursuant to
paragraph 16.5(b) of the Listing Rules, set out below are the details required
