PRUDENTIAL ANNOUNCES SENIOR MANAGEMENT CHANGES
IN ITS US OPERATIONS
Prudential plc announced today that Jonathan Bloomer, Group Chief Executive,
has mutually agreed with Bob Saltzman, President and Chief Executive Officer
of Jackson National Life ('Jackson') and Chief Executive Officer of Prudential
Portfolio Managers America ('PPMA'), that Mr Saltzman will resign and leave
the Group on 31 December 2001 and relinquish day to day responsibility for the
business from
30 June 2001.
Clark Manning, Jackson's Chief Operating Officer, will assume the role of
Acting Chief Executive Officer of both Jackson and PPMA from 30 June. Mr
Manning joined Jackson from SunAmerica Inc. in 1995 and became Chief Operating
Officer in 1998.
Jonathan Bloomer, Prudential's Group Chief Executive, commented: 'Bob Saltzman
has played a significant role in the development of Jackson since he joined
the Group in 1994. I would like to thank him for the enormous contribution he
has made to the business and to wish him well for the future'.
