              APPOINTMENT OF BOARD DIRECTOR


Mr  Alex Kanellis is being appointed to the board  of  PZ
Cussons  Plc  as  Regional Director Pacific  with  direct
responsibility for the Group's operations  in  Indonesia,
Thailand, Malaysia, Australia and UAE. The appointment is
effective  from  1  June 2003. Mr Kanellis  has  been  an
employee of PZ Cussons Plc for 9 years.
