QinetiQ appoints Paul Murray as independent non-executive director
QinetiQ Group plc, an international provider of technical advice and services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Murray as an independent non-executive director to the QinetiQ Board with effect from 25 October 2010.
Paul is currently a non-executive director and Audit Committee chair at Royal Mail Holdings PLC. He also holds directorships at Knowledge Peers plc and Tangent Communications plc and is a Trustee of Pilotlight, a charity for the disadvantaged. He was previously senior independent director of Taylor Nelson Sofres plc, a non-executive director of Thomson SA and has also been Group Finance Director of Carlton Communications plc and LASMO plc.
Commenting on his appointment Mark Elliott, Chairman of QinetiQ said: "I would like to welcome Paul to the board. He brings a broad range of experience in finance and corporate governance from a cross section of industries, all of which leverage technology. We look forward to his contribution to QinetiQ's future development."
Ms Liz Airey is a connected person of Paul Murray and at the date of this release holds 11,700 shares in QinetiQ Group plc.
