Resignation of Director

QinetiQ Group plc today announces that Doug Webb, Chief Financial Officer, has
informed the Company of his intention to resign from his position and from the
Board of QinetiQ to assume the position of Chief Financial Officer at the London
Stock Exchange Group plc. He will remain with QinetiQ until the Company's
preliminary results on May 28.

The Board of QinetiQ has instigated a process to appoint his successor and this
will commence with immediate effect. An announcement will be made as and when
appropriate.

Sir John Chisholm, Chairman said, 'On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank
Doug for his major contribution to the Group since 2003 and above all to the
transition of QinetiQ into a successful, publicly listed company. We wish him
every success in the future development of his career.'
