Purchase of Ordinary Shares
The independent Trustee of the Quintain Estates and Development PLC Employee
Benefit Trust ('the Trustee') notified the Company on 8 June 2006 that it had,
on 7 June 2006, purchased a total of 400,000 shares of 25p each in the Company
at a market price of £5.8934 per share.
Following this transaction, the Trustee holds a total of 1,000,000 ordinary
shares.
These shares will be held by the Trustees against the awards made to directors
in September 2003 and July 2005 under the Executive Directors' Performance Share
Plan, of which Adrian Wyatt, Nicholas Shattock and Rebecca Worthington are
potential beneficiaries and are therefore treated as having an interest.
