                               BOARD ANNOUNCEMENT

Quintain announces that Pam Alexander, a non-executive director, has advised the
Company of her intention to resign her position on the board as a consequence of
her appointment as Chief Executive of the South East of England Development
Agency ('SEEDA').

The board of Quintain is pleased to confirm that Pam Alexander will continue as
a director of the Company until the commencement of her new role at SEEDA.  The
date of this, and Pam Alexander's subsequent formal resignation from the board
will be notified to shareholders in due course.

Nigel Ellis, Chairman of Quintain, said:

'Pam has been a highly valued member of our Board in the short time she has been
with us and we would like to wish her very well in her new and exciting
position.'

Pam Alexander added:

'I have greatly enjoyed working with Quintain over the last few months and am
sad that my new appointment at SEEDA has meant that I have had to relinquish my
role as a non-executive director.  I wish Quintain continued success in the
future.'
