Quintain Estates and Developments PLC announces that on 16 June 2006 it
purchased from JPMorgan Cazenove Limited 210,000 ordinary shares at an average
price of 611.8571 pence per share. The purchased shares will be held as treasury
shares. Following the above purchase, Quintain Estates and Developments PLC
holds 280,000 ordinary shares in treasury, and has 129,050,166 ordinary shares
in issue (excluding treasury shares).
These purchases were made pursuant to the authority that was granted by
shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on 6 September 2005 and are
consistent with the Company's overall capital management strategy. Further
purchases may be made from time to time, subject to market conditions and the
Company's capital requirements.
