BRAINSPARK APPOINTS FORMER BORDER TELEVSION CHIEF TO BOARD
Brainspark PLC, the incubator focused on germinating and developing internet
and technology-related businesses, announced today the appointment of Paul
Corley as Non-Executive Director.
Paul was formerly CEO of Border Television PLC and Chairman of Border Radio
Holdings. He has spent almost 25 years in television where he has held a
number of senior positions including Producer of Channel Four's The Tube,
Controller of Factual and Regional programmes at Carlton and Controller of
Factual programmes at ITV. At Border he was responsible for the development of
one of the fastest growing commercial radio brands outside of London, and the
business' successful sale to Capital Radio in the summer of 2000.
Paul brings to the Brainspark board invaluable media industry experience, as
well as skills in the rapid growth of innovative businesses, and the
successful crystallisation of shareholder value. This will be of benefit to
both Brainspark as an incubator as well as specifically to a number of its
media-related companies including EC1 Media, a digital design, consultancy and
production business working in areas such as iDTV.
Commenting on his appointment, Paul Corley said:
